Are there boat trips every day?

Excursions are daily if the weather allows it and if we have a minimum of 10 people booked, from May 1st to October 30th. If there is too much wind around Chrissi Island, as an alternative we offer to go along the south-east coast with the same program: small peaceful coves, snorkeling, sea bathing and traditional food.

Should I know how to swim for the excursion? Is it possible to go on a boat trip with a child?

No need to be a great swimmer: we anchor close enough to the beach for easy access; you can go down in the water using a rigid ladder that is very practical at any age - or dive from the deck if you prefer! We use an inflatable dinghy to transport your stuff to the beach if you wish (shoes, towels, cameras, etc.). This boat can also be used to carry small children or a non-swimmer.

We strongly advise you to bring a hat to enjoy being on the deck. However, you can also be in the shade behind or inside the cabin.

Should I bring something to drink and/or eat?

No need to bring anything to drink or eat: you will have fresh drinks and local specialties at your disposal.

What is the price?

The price is 60 € per adult and 30€ for children under 12. Cruise, drinks and traditional meal included.

How can we pay?

You pay us when you arrive on the boat. We trust you and do not ask you to pay in advance. We do not have a credit card machine yet, so please make sure to have the cash ready.

What is the exact program for the day trip to Chrissi Island?

We depart from the old port of Ierapetra between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. We cruise for around one hour, and - if the weather allows it - we make a first stop near Golden Beach before the tourists transported by ferries arrive. You can then swim in turquoise transparent waters around the boat. We then move to the east of the island, where we anchor near a small deserted beach. You have an hour to swim, do some snorkelling, take a sunbath, or go for a little walk to discover the interior of the island: the cedars and the very particular flora of Chrissi. We bring you lunch on the beach. The captain tells you the story of Chrissi Island and shares with you his love for Crete! Everything takes place in a good atmosphere, everyone chats with everyone, all the children play together, we chill and enjoy until 4:00 p.m., when we slowly cruise back to Ierapetra.

How can I book?

During the peak season - July and August - we are usually fully booked a week in advance, so it is best to book first by email before your arrival. We set a date together and ask you to confirm your presence by email 48 hours before the trip. This also allows us to inform you on our side of the program according to the weather.

Off-season, you can contact us by email before your arrival in Crete or go to port in the morning before 10 a.m. or in the afternoon between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to agree on a day.

Is it possible to privatise the boat?

It is indeed possible to rent the boat for the day if you want to enjoy it with your family or in a small group. The captain and the boat would then be at your disposal. The rate would then depend on the number of people and on the season.

How many people are on board?

The boat can accommodate 22 people on board along the coast and 18 people to Chrissi Island. We usually welcome a maximum of 18 people - and often less off-season. There is room for everyone, be it in the shade or at the front of the boat.
